Very nice! I like the Black Flag icon the best, but that most likely is due to Edward being my favorite character since reading Forsaken in 2011 haha. Took long enough for me to get to see some fan art for him, huh? Lol.
Although I would like to point out that you said "Except Liberation"... yea Liberation is the first full handheld AC game due to the Vita being the first full game system to be portable, but... there is also AC DS Games, and some horribly made iOS games.
Then again... the newest Assassin's Creed iOS game looks pretty amazing... you make your own Assassin's settlement and you have to raise your own brotherhood from a Real Time Strategy prospective while protecting your town. Kinda like Evony for AC fans.
Great looking icons! Is there a way too get an icon (possibly hi resolution) for Black Flag? I love the little skull with the assassin's symbol bit would prefer it to be without a tile in the background
And call of duty is starting to overplay its fame, also. Black Ops 2 was just stupid, imo. Mw3 sorta "got away" with its gameplay quality, but still it was fun. When a series has to short of intervals between release dates, the games become too blended together and become tiring. The same thing happened with the Sonic the Hedgehog series or Mario where the games were released like months after each other, and now people don't really care much for either. Plus when more time is put into each game's story, it allows for a good story and quality of playing. Maybe Assassin's creed will be good. I'm just saying i'd rather wait longer for a good game than have the sequel be bad.
I'we herd Black Flag is in development for 2 years now...and yes its bad its a prequel to AC3 but i personally like pirate culture and Assassins Creed games so i hope a game will be a real treat for me, as all other were...even AC3
NOT a prequel. I think you miss the point of Assassin's Creed. The Animus is a replay of DNA Sequences and therefore not the timeline of the game. Modern Day is the game's timeline. AC:4 is AFTER Desmond's death.
How is this known? Because Edward Kenway's DNA is extracted from William when Abstergo captured him near the end of AC3. You're an Abstergo Agent playing the memories.
Ubisoft thinks after the positive feedback of AC: Liberation that it'll be fun to put us in the place of Abstergo the way the novel did in Forsaken as you learn the whole life from childhood to death of Haytham Kenway. This is the fact that Assassins are Anarchists with a fiery passion and the Templars are a hidden network of dictators. Both are conflicting and equally evil ideologies in act, but both perfect societies theoretically.
I hope it wont be prequel to the main story, I would really like if there would be more Juno story involved, now that she is free and all that...it would be kinda stupid to just drift of from the main story line.
Yea as I said, they've confirmed it (as they have from the first game) the time period in the Animus is irrelevant to the game. The Abstergo Agent you'll play will be in the modern time after Desmond's death. If it's like Assassin's Creed: Liberation and we never get to see outside the Animus although is unknown.
2 years?! XD That can't be right... if so, they shoulda come out with it before 3 so that Connor wouldn't be seen as the worst assassin (tho I like Connor). I like pirate culture too. It may have promise.
It's been in dev since 2011. Along side with AC3. If you go back and play 3 again when William is rescued from Abstergo, he mentions that he thinks they got some of his memories with the Animus.
Now go play AC: Liberation where you're a consumer who has bought memories to play on your Animus system.
AC4lack Flag is the memories stolen from William and you're an Abstergo agent playing through his memories. Remember the world didn't end because Desmond at the end of AC:3, but Juno will still be around and will have a part of AC4.
Why did they do this? AC:3's naval combat was a teaser as they knew AC4 would be a pirate game, how? December 2011 was the release of the 5th novel, Assassin's Creed: Forsaken. Where you are reading the Journals that Conner finds after killing his father, they are his father's journals. In which Haytham records his memories from 9+ including those of his father, Edward Kenway, how he became a Templar, and his hunt for discovering more about his father.
Although I do warn if you go looking into this information before playing AC:4 you will know the fate of Edward Kenway. Even though I don't believe it'll go that far into his story in the game, I do believe knowing his death will ruin some of the game. Also it will ruin a major part of The Ones Who Came Before storeline of AC4.
Haha! I am a developer but not for Ubisoft! Yet.... :3 I should apply?
I used to be a very overly hardcore gamer... and then I quit... and then a new game came out called Assassin's Creed. It was so unique and held my attention! I kept playing as they released and became a huge fan. Now it's the only game I play and will continue to play!
